A Desperate Request

Dear Pat,

I am writing to let you know that I am doing well. I have heard that you were successful in your new ventures, and that you have been able to maintain the house. However, this is a plea that you are able to see the light and come to live with me again. I have been able to be very successful over the last three years with my business, and I want you by my side. We can go wherever you want. I think it is best for you to abandon such communities of struggle and live a better life. Those in your town are fully aware of your burdened past and make no effort to help, only to hurt. You will never be able to live a privileged life again if you stay there. I will be accepting of your passing - you can truly be you with me as long as you stay safe in public. Imagine the possibilities once again - don't you miss it? I do hope you are able to see that staying in such a toxic community as you are in right now can only end in pain. Please join me back up North.

Yours,
Tom
